Ficus is a good houseplant and will thrive in a well lit place – a west balcony, or in partial shade outside. We have planted this in a huge clay pot in blue (outdoor weather proof) that will enhance its stunning look.
Light – Needs good light – a west facing balcony or a well lit interior space.
Soil – Loamy, with excellent drainage.
Watering – Water every alternate day.
Feeding – A weak all purpose feed once a month is more than sufficient.
Re-potting – This is not normally needed, but if the plant has outgrown its pot it’s a good idea to repot in Spring.
Speed of Growth – Slow.
